"Your mission is to travel to Canada to dispatch of a Kishin soul that resides there. Do you understand and accept you mission?"

A tan woman with black hair and sunglasses nodded. "Yes, sir. Come on Alana, let's move out."

"But, Azura, should we wait until-aaah, that hurts, that hurts that hurts!"

"Good! Now move before I make you clean the apartment on your knees!"

"Yes, ma'am."

Alana crept along the rooftops of the small village, looking for a sign of the Kishin she was supposed to be dispatching of. She carried a bow in her hands and an arrow was loosely nocted on the string. Her weapons, Stoat and Azura. Blue eyes scanned, scanned, scanned. Finally, they closed and she searched with her soul.

"I found it!" she exclaimed excitedly moments later.

"Shhhh!" The bow in her hands hissed. "Do ya want the entire village to know we're here, ya moron!"

Alana drooped. "Sorry, Stoat. . ."

"Just go, already," the quiver at her hip ordered.

"Yes, ma'am." The white-haired girl sprinted over rooftops, eyes scanning left, right, forward, left again then right and finally forward again. She skidded to a stop some hundred yards away from the monster and crouched down. Carefully, the meister lifted Stoat's weapon form into the air. She pulled an arrow back to her cheek held it there, aiming carefully.

"Firing in three . . . two . . . one." She let the arrow go and it sang through the air to hit home in the middle of the Kishin's forehead. A second quickly followed, striking its heart, then a third and a fourth. The monster reeled and Alana whispered, "Stoat, Azura, Soul Resonance!"

Three souls connected and Alana shot three glowing arrows all at once. The arrows crackled with power and exploded on contact with the beast. When the smoke cleared, there was a red orb floating at ground level. The bow jumped from Alana's hands and transformed swiftly into a ruddy-orange weasel with black tips on its ears, feet and tail.

"My soul, my soul!" It bounded to the orb on its little legs and took it in its paws. Eagerly it took a bite out of the soul and quickly devoured it.

"Someone was hungry," Azura commented. She held her arm out and Stoat jumped onto it and scurried up to rest on her shoulder. "Good job, Alana. Let's go."

"Mmkay." Alana trailed behind her weapon and master, hands in the pockets of her jacket. It had been a while since they had fought together, and her soul still tingled from the soul resonance.

"Alana, catch up or you really will be cleaning the apartment!"

"Aah, coming, coming!" Alana raced after her two weapons, catching up. There was no way she was cleaning the apartment today, no way, no how.
